Upgrade components
Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into weapons, armor trinkets and gathering tools to give an added benefit or additional effect when the equipment is utilized. They can be purchased from vendors or other players, looted, gotten as rewards, or made with crafting materials. In addition to offering attribute bonuses, upgrade items can also be cosmetically beneficial.
Infusions, inscriptions and enhancements are a type of upgrade component. They are not generally accessible for general use, and can only be used on ascended equipment or some non-ascended weapons from the Factions campaign. Infusions, inscriptions, as well as enrichments can be extracted from equipment with an Infusion Extraction Device or salvaged using a Blacklion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool.
In contrast to other upgrade items, Phoenix Boxes can be traded while connected to the item they are upgrading, and are able to be used again after being reclaimed. These upgrade items are the best way to improve quality of armor and weapon without spending Dilithium because they can increase the odds of receiving an upgrade by two times.
Upgrade components can be added to an item, however, the original one is destroyed (except for legendaries and ascended equipment). Upgrade components are only available to upgraded items that have an identification level of zero or greater. When you upgrade an existing weapon equipped with a prefix or suffix upgrade will display the name of the upgraded item as it would appear in game (for instance adding an Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be named Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player can only own three upgrade items at a time.
Glyphs
Glyphs are a fantastic accessory to any item. They offer unique benefits and boosts. Certain glyphs increase the number of affixes that an item has, increasing its effectiveness. These glyphs can be found through dungeons, and some even be found in specific World Tier 3 areas. It is important to keep in mind that glyphs are only available to characters who have created a dungeon that has the same depth.
To make use of a Glyph first, you need to build it from components and connect them to anchors. The component will then automatically align to other components or paths within the same layer. If you don't want build the glyph from components, you can create it by combining paths and anchors. Drag an element near the highlighted component to secure it.

Certain glyphs require certain requirements to be fulfilled for example, 25 Dexterity in a specific area on the Paragon Board. Certain glyphs also require a certain number of Primary Stat nodes to activate and can be a challenge to achieve. Some glyphs have a radius that increases with each level.
Glyphs can be applied to a variety of weapons and items, with the exception for those of a specific class. item upgrades of these glyphs require conditions for instance, having a certain amount of dexterity or attack damage in a particular area on the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph boosts the chance of preventing enemy attacks by five percent. It also has a 15% chance to make the Hero vulnerable for 2 turns.
Some glyphs may also be applied to limited tools, such as the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. These glyphs count towards the Combat Mechanic Achievement.
The most common glyphs are the attack glyphs, which increase the ATK substats of Artifacts with a flat value. These glyphs are especially beneficial for classes that rely on ranged weapons, such as Warriors or Rogues. Other glyphs include the Exploit Glyph which makes enemies who strike the Hero vulnerable to damage.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are special tokens that can be used to roll back one of the results rolled while taking an Action. When the reroll happens the tokens are then discarded. Reroll tokens can be obtained in several ways, including through raids, dungeons, and skirmishes. You can also buy them in the store, or from other players. They are particularly useful in dungeons and trials, because they allow players to roll the rewards of the final chest.
For items in the range of 1, there are recycling points. When recycle an item, it will add a specific amount of points to the gauge for upgrading. This is based on both the item's rarity and level. Additionally the upgraded item won't keep its level when it is rerolled and the cost of recycling an upgraded item increases with the level of the item.
Alternatively, a player can use reroll tokens in order to roll an upgrade item again however, this won't bring the item back to its original level or give it its original statistics. This is useful for players who want to reroll a piece of equipment that they don't like but want to keep in their collection.
Three different kinds of upgrade coins are available in the game: Reroll, randomly generated and upgrade. Each type comes with its own subtypes. Reroll tokens for instance come in three levels of rarity: legendary, rare, and enhanced. Each requires an item from the level of its respective to make the new item with the same quality.
To use reroll tokens, right-click on the Satanic or Angelic item in inventory and select "Reroll Token". Then, select a kind of token. The available tokens include Item, Weapon, Misc, 1hgun, 2hgun and Focus. The Item token can be used to create a brand new Item in any quality. Utilizing a Weapon or Misc token will result in an entirely new weapon belonging to the same faction.
There is also a possibility that the item will be upgraded to a different item with an increased level and the same additional stats. This could happen if the item has been placed in the Non-Droppable Pool, or if it was transferred to it as part of an franchise card.
